Spectrum Shopping Mall
Location: Ampang, Selangor Darul Ehsan.
Status: Completed
Spectrum Shopping Mall is located in Bandar Baru Ampang, a new township on the border of Kuala Lumpur City.
The 6-storey building forms the central nucleus of the new township commercial hub which is set to replace the old Ampang Town.
The focal point of the Shopping Complex is a 3-storey high atrium where visual linkages are created. It also forms the main axis from which the shop layouts are planned with a total of 132,670 sq ft of rental areas.
The ground floor at atrium also serves as a venue for exhibitions and activities related to promotions by the Shopping Complex.
A food court and cineplex are located at the top floor to form the entertainment area.
The building is served with two floors of car parks at the roof top, accessible via a spiral ramp away from the thoroughfare. The façade of the Shopping Complex is characterised by the rhythmic arches particularly the main façade where the main entrance is accentuated with the interplay of a four-arch canopy. A sense of welcoming is thus created.
