The site occupies a vacuum in the Government complex area  facing the busy Jalan Duta.

 

To the west of the site is the iconic Wilayah Mosque  while on the northern part are the government offices such as LHDN,  Customs and MITI.

 

On the southeast is the Tun Razak Hockey Stadium. Directly to the east and opposite the site is Bukit Tunku, one of the prime residential area in Kuala Lumpur.
