Vista Komanwel
Location: Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
Status: Completed
Games Village - which is also known as Vista Komanwel is the official accommodation venue for the 1998 Commonwealth Games. An exclusive luxury condominium, it consists of 1936 units of dwellings nestled within a self-contained township in the green sanctuary of Bukit Jalil, where everything; from facilities to infrastructure, has been designed for world class champions.
The Games Village is strategically located within the rapidly growing township of Bukit Jalil. In the vicinity are the Malaysian Technology Park, the National Sports Complex, Mines Wonderland and the Selangor Turf Club.
Vista Commonwealth Games comes in three parcels with each parcel having two cluster blocks and one tower block, each carrying a different colour scheme for visual aesthetic effect.
In an attempt to reduce environmental impact, staggered units are incorporated to blend harmoniously with the slope and to form the base of the building. An interesting interplay of skyline is created by the roof profiles placed at different levels.
The project features comprehensive facilities including clubhouse, gymnasium, swimming pool, nursery, multi-purpose hall and conference rooms.
